Current Situation
Prisoners are currently allowed to seek compensation for the wrongs done to them when a system fails them. Victims do not have these same rights.
Changes SST would like to see:
- Above all else the rights of victims should outweigh the rights of offenders
- Victims are able to make claims for the wrongs done to them as a result of systematic failure
- Victims are able to sue the Government for negligence, breach of statutory duty or misfeasance.
